Are you here because of our underpants?

Hi there,

There’s every chance you’ve landed on our blog because we recently sent you a pair of our bespoke Y-Fronts in the post. We sent them to you because, as former journalists, we like to try and cherry pick potential clients who are newsworthy and for whom we are confident we can generate news. Those pants don’t come cheap – so they don’t get sent out willy nilly! You got them because we think there’d be great merit in us meeting up. (if you didn’t get a luscious pair of blue y-fronts in a velvety conqueror envelope floating onto your doorstep then sorry - maybe you’ll be selected next time!)

At Loop, we’re not sector specific. We are rather against the whole idea. We create news and we pride ourselves on being able to apply our news-making skills to any brand (we’ve got former Sunday Times and BBC journalists working with us).

We help companies build awareness of and confidence in their brands through structured, proactive PR activity across national, regional, trade and online media. We represent a whole raft of companies from emerging brands such as Streetcar up to the more established brands such as the pharmaceutical giant Merck, Sharp and Dohme and Mercedes Benz. It’s exactly this diversity which means we have influence right across the media, and this is very important when you’re trying to build widespread recognition for a relatively new consumer brand.

But we’re keen that our work speaks for itself. Take Streetcar – they are our longest standing client (they’ve been with us four years) and we’ve built their reputation from scratch with a formidable and consistent array of coverage across national, regional and, latterly, online media (here’s their coverage list which has yet to be updated with spring/summer ’09 hits). Having largely avoided traditional advertising, they credit Loop with driving awareness and credibility for their £19m concept.

Although we largely work with London-based companies, we don’t feel the need to impress people with swanky offices in the capital. We’re based just out of London, in Surrey, meaning your fee is spent on PR and doesn’t contain a mark up to cover the running of a cappuccino machine, the Molton Brown toiletries and a fancy leatherette reception area! So, I’d be confident that our rates and approaches will be competitive. We usually work on either a retained fee or on a project basis, but this is up for grabs depending on what you are looking for.

So you were approached because we genuinely believe we can create and manage a news agenda for you. One that will chime with journalists.

Enjoy the y-fronts
